Centreville is a turn of the century themed family Amusement Park, nestled in over 600 acres on Centre Island, just a 10-minute ferry ride across the harbour from the Toronto mainland. Antique Carousel, Centre Island, Centreville Amusement Park

This photo is of the antique carousel. A nearby sign reads: Centreville Antique Carousel History, circa 1908. This carousel was built in Germantown Penn. by the "G.A. Dentzel Steam & Horsepower Co." 1903-1928. This hand carved wooden carousel is one of about 30 left in existence today! It was severely damaged in the great hurricane of 1938 and rebuilt by the carver for the Dentzel Co. .. the late Tom Long of Bushkil Park Allentown Penn. from where it was acquired in 1964. It contains 52 animals 3-abreast, of which 36 are jumpers. 2 chariots. The accompanying band organ is a Wurlitzer.
