High Park

Location: Toronto, Ontario

With over one million visitors annually, High Park is the jewel of Toronto's park system. It is the largest park entirely within Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It spans 161 hectares (398 acres, 1.61 kmē). It is a mixed recreational and natural park, with sporting facilities, cultural facilities, educational facilities, gardens, playgrounds and a zoo. Outdoor Sculpture: The Hippie, High Park

This photo is of an outdoor sculpture located immediately west of the High Park Forest School. "The Hippie" (1967) by William Koochin, carved in dark granite. Completed during the International Sculpture Symposium held in Toronto in 1967. Colborne Lodge Drive is in the background. Photo looking west (school is behind the camera).
