The park contains three beaches: Outlet Beach, Sandbanks Beach, and Dunes Beach. The largest and longest is Outlet Beach. The smallest is Dunes Beach and, along with Sandbanks Beach, are more isolated than Outlet Beach. Fitted personal floatation devices (PFD's) can be rented at The Woodyard.
The park also contains several campgrounds: Cedars Campground, Outlet River Campground, Richardson's Campground, and Woodlands Campground. Camping fees vary by campground. Not all campgrounds are electrical.
There is a $15.00* "Daily Vehicle Permit" vehicle admission fee to get into the park. Additional fees apply for camping. (*Fee accurate as of 1-Aug-2009). If you are only staying for the day, be sure to leave the park by 10 p.m. to avoid a fine since only registered campers are allowed in the park between 10 p.m. and 8 a.m.
The park store, Currah's Park Store & Grill, is located at the Outlet Beach day-use area. It contains a full service restaurant, camping supplies, ice, breakfast/lunch/dinner, and eat in or take out pizza.
Pets are allowed in the park provided they are always on a leash (maximum 6 feet) and kept away from designated swimming and beach areas. You can take your pet for a cool dip in the Outlet River and at the pet designated area at Sandbanks Beach. Always clean up after your pet and never leave it unattended.
There are several resorts and restaurants in the vicinity of the park and in the nearby cities of Bloomfield and Picton. Such as The Restaurant On The Knoll at the Isaiah Tubbs Resort.
